I have always been fascinated by the architecture of clothing. To make a piece of clothing fall a certain way based on the design, cut, and materials used, truly takes talent. It's an art form in itself. The transformative factor of clothing is what makes it so fun to play with. Clothes can shift your shape and also your mood. They can make you feel more awake, edgy, simple, and vibrant. They can also act as a time machine. You can embody a decade, a moment, or perhaps a style icon.
I am living for the seventies revival. These pants sort of just found me. It was a twist of fate really. A co-worker suggested we spend our lunch hour checking out a vintage pop up shop down the street. It was essentially a board room where the table was dressed in vintage clothes. All scattered, messy. How I like it. And out popped these billowy navy-blue-red-stitched vintage bell bottoms. Oh lawd.
I've been re-inviting vibrant colours back into my wardrobe. It appears that I was in a pastel haze from 2014-2016 and while I love me some baby pink, I had to break free.
Me and red are having a thing pour le moment.
