This past Saturday me and Rosie had a much needed girls night complete with pizza, fries, chocolate and wait for it... gingerale!!! We can't be stopped.
After the food-fest, we headed to Capital Catwalk. It's a charity fashion show presented by the Her Campus - University of Ottawa chapter and hosted by the lovely Dominique of Style Domination. The show, which benefitted the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, featured local designers showcasing their Spring fashions.
I was blown away by the talented designs created here in my city, where the fashion community is small but mighty. One designer that caught my eye in particular was We Are Kings by King B. Hector Jr. He designs incredibly unique tailored suits in vibrant African prints that are so fun to look at. My runway shots simply don't do the clothes justice so I encourage you to check out Kamara's pictures here.
My girl Kristie Lance showed her Spring collection Wallflower. I love how her collection embraces every woman, every body. Her shows always delivers a -feel-good, love yourself, women supporting women- vibe that I adore. See pictures of her collection here.
My outfit is a sexy spin on a white cotton nighty. I slicked my hair back (something I've been often doing on day two hair days) and kept my makeup natural but golden. Rosie said I had grecian goddess vibes and I'll gladly accept that. Maybe it was a subconscious coping mechanism for this cold Winter.
